Due to the first round of gas price increases, the 40 mile one-way commute was becoming very expensive.  I decided to buy a motorcycle to save on gas.  Now, I have never even had an interest in motorcycling before.  I just got tired of paying for gas and the more frequent visits to the dealer for routine maintenance.  Putting 30K miles in a year is not good for a car we are trying to keep.  So I took the Motorcycle Safety Course and got my endorsement.  I liked the motorcycle we used in class so much that I bought a new one.  A 2008 Honda Rebel 250.  I named it 'The Piglet'.  It's not quite a hog so the name fit.  Don't let the cc's fool you.  As fellow riders have noted.....I rode that Rebel like a crotch rocket!  I absolutely loved this bike and better yet, the 87mpg I got from it.  So, here are pics of The Piglet.
